Samantha Fitzsimmons is a passionate animal lover and entrepreneur who has dedicated her career to providing exceptional care for pets in the Worcester area. As the owner of Paws and Claws Worcester for the past four years, Samantha has turned her love for animals into a thriving business that reflects her commitment to high-quality pet care.
With a wealth of experience, Samantha is a fully qualified dog boarder and dog walker, possessing certifications in pet first aid and pet psychology. Her extensive knowledge about dogs and other animals ensures that both pets and their owners receive the best possible service. She prides herself on creating a safe, loving environment where pets can thrive and feel at home.
Samantha’s journey to pet care began with her beloved dog, Lucky. Frustrated with the traditional 9-5 office jobs that left little time for her furry companion, Samantha decided to take a leap of faith and establish her own business. What started as a venture specifically for Lucky has transformed into a rebranded Paws and Claws Worcester, now offering comprehensive services for both dogs and cats. The rebranding symbolizes her commitment to expanding care options and creating a welcoming space for all pets.

Hi, I’m Matt – and while I run my own successful catering business, I’ve always had a huge soft spot for animals. I’m proud to be part of the Paws & Claws Worcester team, helping out with walks, visits, and anything else where an extra pair of hands (and paws) are needed.
You’ll often find me out on our group adventure walks, where I work alongside Samantha or Rebecca. We take out small, friendly groups of up to eight dogs and always walk in a secure, rented field we provide – making sure every dog is safe, happy, and having a great time.
I love being around animals and helping make sure they feel calm and cared for – whether that’s during a fun walk, a quiet pop-in visit, or just a well-earned cuddle. Being part of this team means a lot to me, and I treat every pet like one of my own.
About Matt
Matt is an integral part of the Paws and Claws Worcester team, bringing his enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring every pet receives attentive care. While he is the owner of his own catering business, Matt’s true passion for animals makes him a valuable resource for Samantha and the team.
When extra help is needed or when Samantha is unavailable, Matt steps in to provide compassionate care for the animals entrusted to Paws and Claws Worcester. His reliability ensures that there is always a familiar face around, giving pet owners peace of mind knowing their furry friends are in good hands.
Matt shares Samantha’s love for animals, making him a perfect companion in their joint mission to create a nurturing environment for pets. He understands the importance of building strong relationships with both pets and their owners, and he approaches each day with a commitment to excellence in pet care.
Despite managing his catering business, Matt prioritizes his role at Paws and Claws Worcester and is always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. His willingness to jump in, along with his warm personality, fosters a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that pets and their owners can appreciate.
In addition to his work with pets, Matt brings the same passion and attention to detail to his catering business, creating delightful culinary experiences. My name is Rebecca, and I’ve been passionate about dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve always enjoyed walking and caring for them, and it has been my lifelong dream to work with these wonderful animals. Currently, I am part of the team at Paws and Claws Worcester, where I serve as a qualified Dog Walker and Pet Sitter.
I hold full insurance and have been DBS checked, bringing a wealth of experience with a variety of breeds. I work on some days and also cover holiday periods, taking on pet sitting duties in people’s homes as part of the business.
You’ll often find me on our group adventure walks, where we take out small groups of up to eight friendly dogs. Each walk is carefully supervised by two handlers – either myself or Matt alongside Samantha – and always takes place in a safe, secure rented field we cover ourselves.
Whether I’m on a countryside walk or curled up on the sofa with a sleepy pup during a home visit, I always make sure every pet feels relaxed, happy, and loved.

Rebecca is a dedicated and qualified Dog Walker and Pet Sitter who brings a lifelong passion for animals to the Paws & Claws Worcester team. Fully insured and DBS checked, she has a wealth of experience with a wide variety of dog breeds and temperaments. Rebecca works regularly during the week and also provides trusted holiday cover, offering in-home pet sitting to ensure pets feel safe and relaxed in their familiar surroundings.
She frequently supports the team on group adventure walks, where up to eight friendly dogs are guided by two handlers either Rebecca or Matt alongside Samantha in a secure, rented field managed by the business. Calm, kind and highly dependable, Rebecca is loved by pets and owners alike for her gentle approach and genuine care.
